Grandma and Grandpa's Getaway, one of our delightful vacation homes on Orcas Island, awaits you!   This darling, comfortable & treasured getaway apartment epitomizes family memories and nostalgic charm. Perfect for 2 adults (+ 1 child): 1 bedroom, full bath, full kitchen, sofa-bed, high speed fiber optic WiFi, Dish HDTV, large deck with gorgeous water view over the harbor to the distant Olympic Mountains, propane BBQ, on our private 140 acres. Enjoy watching the birds flock to the feeders. Hike through our private 110 acre wildlife preserve and wild natural organic farm at the heart of Deer Harbor on beautiful Orcas Island.  Beautiful southerly views over rocky knolls, historic Deer Harbor, the San Juan Islands and the distant Olympic Mountains.

As you enter through the kitchen you are greeted by old world custom woodwork with Scandinavian touches celebrating family.    Grandma and Grandpa's Getaway boasts a well-stocked kitchen, with refrigerator/freezer, stove with oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, hand-mixer, dishes, glasses, flatware, cookware, gadgets galore, 2 sinks, plenty of cupboards and counter space, for your convenience.  All linens and  owels are supplied, also.  

A darling bistro table on the generous deck provides a wonderful sunny spot for morning coffee or afternoon refreshment, while soaking in the beautiful view to the south of Deer Harbor, boating activity, numerous outer islands, (there are over 172 San Juan islands that are named and inhabited!), and the majestic snow-capped Olympic Mountains in the distance.

Grandma and Grandpa's Getaway can comfortably accommodate 2 guests. It has a full kitchen, a full bathroom, a full bed and a pull-out couch. 

ACCESS to the front door from your parking spot is up a gradually rising 25 foot long path to a broad staircase with 8 steps to the upper landing.  Down 4 steps to the left to Grandma's and Grandpa's deck and door.  Once you are inside the apartment, everything is on the same level except for one small step up into the bedroom.
