The now famous Gnome House -- what a treat -- a one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted, timber-framed Orcas Island cottage constructed with massive timbers, cedar arches, and hand carved tree trunk posts.
The Gnome House truly inspires every visitor. "..an architectural gem.." "How did you build those arches? " ...never seen anything like this before..." " like a fairy tale..." "..how did you fit that floor to the stonework..." "I would love to live in the Gnome House!"
This rental can accommodate four guests comfortably; including one queen size sleigh bed, one double bed in a climb in loft, and also has a pull out couch. There is one full bathroom and a full kitchen. The steep winding staircase and sunken in bathtub adds charm and whimsy to this unique vacation rental; yet could be a challenge for mobility issues.
